Wavence Microwave radio cryptoModule

FIPS 140-2 certificate #4449 · Nokia XHAUL · data as of 2026-08-28
Active. Sunset date 2026-09-21, 23 days away. This is the FIPS 140-2 sunset: after it, agencies may keep the module only in existing systems.
Caveat: The module generates cryptographic keys whose strengths are modified by available entropy

Module description

The cryptographic module is a solution for transformation of backhaul networks from TDM (Time-Division Multiplexing) to IP (Internet Protocol). It is a microwave digital radio that supports PDH (Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy), SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy), and packet data, i.e. Ethernet. The module implements end-to-end protection against loss of confidentiality along the radio path on Layer 1 of the OSI model.
