Module description
RA6M4 is general-purpose microcontroller designed for industrial, IOT, and infrastructure applications, embedded with robust security features. RA6M4 Security Management Module is provided as a reference for developing FIPS 140-3-compliant modules using the RA6M4. By referring to the design of this module, it becomes easier to address FIPS requirements when developing cryptographic modules using the RA6M4 in customer environments. The Renesas RA6M4 group of microcontrollers uses the high-performance CPU operating up to 200MHz. In concert with the Secure Crypto Engine it offers Secure Element functionality. The integrated Ethernet MAC with individual DMA ensures high data throughput. The RA6M4 is built on a highly efficient 40nm process and is supported by an open and flexible ecosystem concept-the Flexible Software Package (FSP)-and is expandable to use RTOSes and middleware. The RA6M4 is suitable for IoT applications requiring Ethernet, future proof security, large embedded RAM, and low active power consumption.
