Module description

The Ultrastar DC HC560 and DC HC570 TCG Enterprise HDDs are self-encrypting drives (SEDs) compliant with the TCG Storage Architecture Core Specification and the TCG Enterprise Security Subsystem Class (SSC). The Enterprise SSC defines interfaces to activate, provision, and manage encryption, authentication credentials, and access controls. The security architecture uses a lock-based authentication model where operator credentials control access to user data, making data inaccessible until successful authentication, in accordance with IG 4.1.A.
